ICLEI Releases Sustainability Toolkit

Wild and crazy Saturday night for yours truly. Kids are in bed and I'm surfing the Internet while watching Texas struggle against Nebraska in the Big 12 Championship (6-0 Cornhuskers in the 2nd quarter).

The good news is that Worldchanging is highlighting ICLEI's newly released sustainability toolkit for city governments so I have something to entertain me during this defensive slugfest. Fayetteville is one of ICLEI's 1,100 member cities so I have my members only jacket and we have full access to the toolkit that was released Friday. Here's a synopsis:

ICLEI's Sustainability Planning Toolkit, based on the model pioneered by City of New York's PlaNYC, contains comprehensive, step-by-step guidance to develop a sustainability plan for cities, towns, and counties of all sizes. It follows a proven, straightforward, and flexible process to create a successful, long-term plan that brings together environmental, economic, and social initiatives under one holistic vision to improve the livability of communities and create lasting benefits.

Stay warm people. Touchdown Texas (7-6 Horns)
